Meet the Founder
Jimmy Pocock
Jimmy grew up on the Wasatch Front, just thirty minutes from Park City, spending weekends camping with his family in the Cottonwood Canyons and the Uinta Mountains. Those early road trips throughout Utah and across the country taught him something fundamental: the unexpected detours, the unplanned stops, the spontaneous discoveries—those are the moments families remember forever. That love of the road is what eventually led him to build a travel agency of his own.
Now married with kids of his own, Jimmy and his family continue that tradition—wandering through deserts, exploring national and state parks, standing in awe at Disneyland, walking the streets of New York City together. But he also knows the other side of travel: the stress of planning, the late nights researching, the logistics that pull you away from actually living the trip. So he built Oquirrh Travel to take that burden off your shoulders. Every itinerary is planned the way he’d want his own family’s vacation planned—deeply personal, unhurried, with room for the unexpected.
